after we settled down our items its makan and shopping time....headed out to the shopping areas...
then around 5pm the sad things begun to happened the mall made an announcement that they will be closing at 6pm...actually had heard from a few friends who visited bkk few weeks back they will closed early so sian.....
so we ended our day heading back to hotel putting away our things and walk around our hotel area searching for restaurant for our dinner.
Wat Arun aka the temple of dawn.....
after the half day tour was off to chinatown for lunch and their....
shark fins + birds nest yummy!! loves!!
the most happening/scary thing happens after our lunch as we wanna go MBK or platinum mall for some shopping...none of the taxis wanna fetch us there by meter all wanting a quoted price if we wanna go there...and so we just pay lor....250baht
without knowing why they all refuse to go there by meter we agree to pay the amt and headed there......
while on the cab on our way there the nice uncle actually told us think we better change to some other places as the situation on the red shirts have worsen and the police have blocked all the roads our there so meaning all shopping malls there were closed.
can't believe what luck as y'day was still ok and today its totally different...the cab uncle told us that the radio station was reporting that they was shooting and bombing now at that area what luck....
what we did not expect was that later we ended up not able to get back to our hotel and were stuck in the taxi for like 2 fcuking hours...damn my first time ever!!
and after the 2 hours aftermath the cab uncle drop us at somewhere near or should i say not very near lor to our hotel and told us thats the only way to get back WALK back to our hotel!!! we were like so shock, how to walk back if there is shooting and bombing omg...luckily xtina bro eric, they all been back to our hotel and told the staff there and they offered to send us back....
when we get back then eric told us their up close and personal experience with the reds power lah....they took tu tu back as taxi dun wanna go that area and only tu tu and motorcycles can go thru that area....the red shirts actually stop them and ask where they are gg and eric says he could see all the ppl inside the camp lo scary...luckily they dun disturb tourist if not who knoes what wil happen....
After all these we got back to our hotel and dun really dare to go too far out of our hotel area as gun shots could be heard....
~Day 3
We book a trip to the floating market and was unsure whether we could go and our tour guide of the half day tour told us that we still could go anywhere in the morning its only after like in the late afternoon everything begins to happen again...and all malls are closed...sad sad sad!
so off we go to the floating market:
on our way there!!
taking a pic first before gg for the boat ride.........
shiok-ness....
there were people living there around the floating market
so friendly the people there
waving away when they saw us...
After the trip we check with the tour guide Mr Wat whether we could go shoppign at jj market as the rest of the malls are closed as there were around the protest site but as chatuchuk wasn't ma and he say yes and so off we go for another shopping trip yippe!!
Did not take any pics after that as we hardly can get any shopping so full gear for our shopping cravings.....
mi & my newly purchase hat!!
less than S$10 okie!!....
saw one at f21 selling at fcuking S$25 hor....
After jj market shopping we headed back to our hotel for dinner and we ended the night with massages!!
a MUST when in Thailand!! shiok!!
our last day we did not have any more choices for shopping as Mr Wat suggest us not to go anywhere far as he's afraid that if we can't make it back on time to the hotel we will miss our flight back...and so he suggest he bring us to a shopping mall/big C near the airport for some last minute shopping.....
taking our flight back....
glad that we are back thou its a memorable and dangerous experience for us but we we still heart bangkok and will go again for sure for more shopping as we did not had enuff....
